On this premium, small-group morning expedition, we journey down the world-renowned Seward Highway along the Turnagain Arm—widely considered one of the most breathtaking shorelines in North America.
As the crisp morning sun cuts through the Chugach peaks, your expert local guide will navigate the highway's best scenic pull-offs. We’ll make a dedicated stop at dramatic Beluga Point to scan the waters for incoming bore tides and white beluga whales, all while capturing stunning landscape photography before the big tour buses arrive.

09:00 AM / 10:00 AM Scenic drive down the Seward Highway with a guided photo stop at Beluga Point.
10:15 AM – 12:15 PM | Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center: Two full hours of unhurried exploration through the sanctuary loop to see bears, wood bison, moose, wolves, and elk.
12:15 PM – 01:00 PM | Return Journey to Anchorage: A relaxing drive back up the arm, dropping you directly at your accommodation just in time for your afternoon plans.

Please be waiting in your hotel lobby or outside your designated Anchorage pickup location 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pickup time. Your driver will text or call the mobile phone number provided during your booking as the van approaches.

Instructions: Please be ready in your accommodation lobby or designated pickup area 10 minutes prior to departure (8:50 AM). The van will depart promptly at 9:00 AM and will not wait in order to preserve our morning wildlife window.
What to Wear: Weather in the Chugach Mountains changes rapidly. We highly recommend dressing in layers, including a wind/rainproof outer jacket and sturdy, comfortable walking shoes.
Activity Level: Easy to Moderate. Walking at the AWCC is flat and paved, but guests should be comfortable standing and walking for up to 1.5 to 2 hours to get the most out of the sanctuary loops.
Snack Tip: Guests are welcome to bring their own travel snacks or covered drinks to enjoy during the drives.
Health and Condition:This tour involves minimal walking (approximately 1 mile total over flat, well-maintained gravel pathways) and is friendly for guests with limited mobility using canes or walkers.
Extra Gear: Our custom 8-passenger Transit van can accomodate 1 back pack per person and it cannot safely accommodate standard non-folding wheelchairs.
Infants and children: Children are welcome; please notify us during booking if you require space for a child safety seat.

60 Days or Earlier Prior to Travel: 50% Refund.
30 Days Prior to Travel: 25% Refund.
Within 14 Days of Travel: Strictly No Refund.
Weather Policy: If Your Alaska Tours cancels the trip due to extreme, unsafe road conditions or severe weather events, a 80% refund or alternative date will be issued immediately.
